Type Under the Hood: Demystifying the World of Typography // DESIGN 325

Matteo Bologna, Founder and Principal, Mucca Design

Wednesday, August 10th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

Matteo will explain exactly what a typeface is, from showing how it is made with OpenType, to how it works on the page.

Why should we use one font over than another? Will that font change the meaning of the message we are conveying?

This lecture will not only be beneficial to the designers, but also to those who use type in their everyday lives and want to finally get the Comic Sans jokes.

Matteo Bologna is the founder and principal of Mucca Design, a NYC based branding firm. Matteo is also Secretary-Tresurer of the Type Directors Club, and is frequently asked to lecture about branding and typography around the world.

Use the hashtag #gatypography to ask follow-up questions and continue the conversation.
